1. Scope and Academic Quality Requirements
Journal of Taiyuan University of Technology mainly publishes articles in the field of Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mining Engineering, Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information and Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering and Architecture, etc.
Manuscripts should have innovative viewpoints, the latest research methods, and new data. Conclusions must be scientifically and theoretically sound. Reviews are required to be written by authoritative and academic leaders, which can reflect the latest academic trends in specific subjects. The sources of manuscripts are mainly research papers produced by national, provincial, and industrial research fund projects.
2. Requirements for Manuscript
The manuscript should be scientific and innovative or technologically advanced. It must have clear arguments, sufficient evidence, concise wording, reliable data, and complete citations. Each manuscript (including figures and tables) generally should not exceed 6,000 words, and must include (in order): title, author name, author institution and postcode, Chinese abstract, keywords, Chinese Library Classification (CLC), main body, reference, English abstract and English keywords.
Please indicate at the foot of the first page of the manuscript: the name of funding project (with the fund contract number), the date of submission, the first author's name, date of birth, gender, place of origin, degree, title, position, main research direction, contact telephone, e-mail address or QQ number.
2.1 Abstracts and Keywords
Abstracts should contain four elements (objective, method, result, conclusion), and the keywords are generally not less than 5. The Chinese abstract should not be less than 300 Chinese characters, and the English abstract should be 1,500-2,000 letters. English abstracts and Chinese abstracts are generally written in the third person past tense. English abstracts must be in accordance with Chinese abstracts in content and conform to English grammar norms. The content includes a title, the author's name (Chinese pinyin name), the author institutions’ standard translation, abstract main body, and keywords.
2.2 Standards and Specifications
1) All manuscripts shall be written in accordance with the format requirements of
China Journal (CD-ROM)Index and Assessment Data Standard CAJ-CD B/T 1-2006.
2) Quantity and unit symbols must comply with the provisions of the National Standard GB 3100 ~ 3102-1993 Quantity and Unit, with special attention to the word case, italic, superscript and subscript. It is necessary to strictly implement the national standards of solution composition and mixture composition scale in the field of chemistry, and pay attention to distinguishing between amount and concentration.
3) The expression of scientific and technological terms must comply with the requirements of the National Committee for the Examination and Approval of Professional Terms.
4) Professional drawing symbols such as mechanical engineering drawings, electronic circuit symbols, mine geological symbols, geographical indications, architectural and civil engineering drawing symbols, etc., should be used according to the latest standards.
5) Only electronic manuscripts in Word format are accepted.
2.3 Tables and Figures
The titles of tables and graphs should be bilingual. National standard units should be adopted. Please refer to the Chinese website for details:

2.4 Reference
The format of the references after the article should conform to GB/T 7714-2005 Rules for References after Articles. Not a single reference should be omitted. References should be bilingual and should only be selected from the most necessary and latest literature. Unpublished materials are generally not suitable for citation. 3. Method of Submission
3.1 This journal adopts an online submission system. The official website of the online submission system is:

3.2 The journal is indexed by more than 20 databases around the world. If authors do not state otherwise, it is assumed that they agree with their manuscript to be indexed.
3.3 According to the Copyright Law, the journal may make some wording amendments and abridgments for accepted manuscripts. Any amendment involving changes in meaning will be sent to the authors for confirmation. After publication, the editorial office will pay remuneration to authors according to the length of the manuscript, along with 2 printed journals.
4. Fees
Notification of APCs will be sent for accepted manuscripts.
